the galaxy through the billowing plumes of prismatic ether, catching the glint of the eyes

of a young human cadet with a shock of red hair gazing out the window of the transport.

Jace Lazarus, Lazarus, sits in the uncomfortable seat, surrounded by a hundred other cadets in matching

white military uniforms all heading to the same destination.

An enormous space station in the shape of a gleaming white castle awaits above, orbiting

the imperial capital. Jace watches it grow in his, orbiting the imperial capital.

and a crackling voice of the pilot comes through the intercom.
