The stock market is open, but the bond market is closed.

Now let's take a look back before we take a look ahead.

Stocks finished sharply lower on Friday after September payroll data

further undermined hope that the Federal Reserve

was nearing the end of its rate hiking process.

The Dow closed down 2.1 percent, the S&P 500 dropped 2.8 percent, and the NASDAQ finished

down 3.8%.

All 11 S&P sectors post it declines on the session with all but one recording losses of

more than 1.5%.

Infotech was the worst performer dropping 4.1%.

Consumer discretionary was another standout decliner with a loss on the session of 3.6%.

Today is Monday, so we've got the catalyst watch for the week. To help us out with that here's

read on where we are earnings wise.
