Stocks Thursday more than reversed Wednesday's late day rally,

traders are still digesting the implications of higher rates.

We told you Thursday on Wall Street breakfast

that stocks rallied Wednesday following the Fed's

long-awaited announcement. But renewed

skepticism about Fed policy and more earnings reports that aren't that

positive since the Dow SMP and the NASDAQ into a free fall Thursday.

Earnings reports from ETSI and eBay suggested online shopping has waned since the peak of the pandemic.

This raises concerns about the health of the consumer during this period of high inflation and a gloomy economy.

The NASDAQ ended down 5%, the S&P 500 down 3.6% and the Dow fell more than a thousand points.

It should not surprise you, given the extent of the sell-off
