Turn with me to Hebrews the 8th chapter.

If you didn't bring a Bible with you, hold up your hand.

We'd be glad to let you use one of ours.

And let's all go to Hebrews 8.

In Hebrews 8 and verse 10, a prophecy that is fulfilled in our day was spoken long time ago said this is the covenant

I'll make with the house of Israel after those days says the Lord I'll put my laws in their mind

write them in their hearts I'll be to them a God they'll be to me a people verse 11 they'll not teach

every man his neighbor and every man his brother saying know the Lord for all shall know me from the

least to the greatest this is why one of the big reasons why our covenant is a better covenant than the old covenant.

Because not too many people knew God personally in the old covenant.

The prophet had some personal contact with God, the king or a judge or deliverer, but the mass of folks did not.

And if they wanted to know something, they had to go to a prophet and inquire of the Lord.

But today, in this new covenant, he said, they'll all know me, from the least to the greatest.

And today, you don't have to go to somebody

and ask them if they will pray for you. If they'll try to get an answer from God for you,

you can go straight to him yourself. By what Jesus has done, there's one God and one mediator

between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

So we've been talking about knowing him for ourselves and walking with him.

The 11th chapter describes this in Hebrews 11 and 5.

Hebrews 11, 5, and I'll read Young's literal translation.

It says, by faith, Enot was translated not to see death and was not found because God did translate him.
