0:27.5	from Thankful Homemaker, and I'm so glad to be with you today. And I'm also glad to have this time
0:33.3	because we're going to begin a three-part series on Walking and Wisdom. My last series I did was on
0:39.6	the Sermon on the Mount. It took me about three years, and there were 30 episodes. This one is
0:45.6	feeling quite a bit more manageable to me, and I'm really hoping to have them just a week or two
0:50.9	apart, so you don't have to wait a whole month for the next one to come out.
0:54.8	But I find myself quite often just thinking about what it means to walk wisely as a Christian.
1:01.6	And I'm sure as a believer, this crosses your mind quite often too.
1:05.8	Because we all have busy days, our lives are distracting, and there's a zillion things that are always vying for
1:11.8	our attention. And some are really good things, right? Things within our homes and our families
1:17.1	and our churches and just the responsibilities we have. But then there's some that aren't always
1:21.5	so good. And I'm saying not always, because some of these things can be good, but some of them
1:25.7	can take away from our time,
1:28.2	things like social media. We can also feel just the draw of the noisy world around us.
1:34.7	And in all of it, how do we stay focused on what truly matters? So that's what we're going to
1:39.9	explore in this series. We're going to spend time in Ephesians 5, 15 to 16, where Paul urges us,
1:47.0	look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, making the best use of time because
1:52.5	the days are evil. I do love this passage, and I refer to it a lot. Well, I'm coming back to it
1:57.2	again in this series, but this passage reminds us that wisdom isn't just about
2:02.1	knowing what's right. It's about living it out in our daily choices. It's about being
