When I'm anxious, the one thing that really helps is to go for a walk.

oxygen. And we've all heard the science, right? Walking is good for pretty much everything.

Walking is something you can do every day.

Something so simple, it's easy to take for granted.

About eight years ago, I was at London Book Fair,

and I was walking home carrying lots and lots of books from the Book Fair.

Something started to happen in my head. It was very strange. I just started to feel very dizzy and some part of my vision was doing very strange things.

I couldn't recognise any of the landmarks

and I didn't know where I was and I was feeling very frightened.

I couldn't find my house on my own street. I was walking in and out of all the houses of my neighbours.

And I kept getting to the front door and thinking, this isn't my door.

Where am I?

Why can't I find my house? By this stage I was feeling very, very faint.

And then the next thing I knew I was in an ambulance.

I had collapsed fairly close to my house. One of my neighbours found me lying on the pavement.

I spent about eight days in intensive care because I had cracked my skull.
