But where is your privacy?

If you've been tested for COVID-19 at Walgreens,

your personal data has been left on the open web.

And advertisers might have access to it.

Your name, date of birth, gender identity, phone number, home address,

email, all of it is out there.

And in some cases, the results of your COVID test could be seen as well.

Sarah Morrison, you just broke this story for recode.

Can you tell us how many people might be impacted by the security laps at Walgreens?

So Walgreens has run millions of tests across more than 6000 testing sites across the country.

We know that this probably identified back in March.

But it looks like this platform was used as far back as July 2020, if not earlier.

So that's a lot of people in a long time.

And beyond the sheer number of people, like you said, it's millions who are potentially impacted.

What's the danger of having all this personal information out there?
