With a country divided, the Republican risk and morality being redefined, it's time to get around the campfire, get back to basics, and spark the revival that this country so desperately needs.

This is the American Campfire Revival with Cook Cameron.

You know, back in the 70s and the 80s, there was a big movement called the Moral Majority,

and it was this idea that there is this majority of people out there who believe what we believe

and want what we want, and they're already on board with these things

with their kids. And if only we could just get rid of a few people at the political elite level

who are holding all of us down, that everything would be great, and the country would be back

on the right road. And 20, 30 years go by, 40 years go by. And we realize

that that's not exactly true. Just electing somebody in the political big chair is not going to

fix what we have allowed to happen in our country.

And the truth is, we've, we have been apathetic and complacent and neglectful in our own

homes and in our own churches and in our schools.

And because of that, we've created this vacuum that's been filled where those who have a very

different view of the world and how our country ought to be run have moved in, and we've

lost it at the local level in many ways.

And so just electing somebody at the top is not going to fix the problems.

And so Marshall was talking about how he and some of his friends would run around decades ago,

just pleading with people, begging them to get involved in politics because they were told that if only we could

get the right president or the right people in Congress, that would fix the problem. And he had a

very wise woman say to him, Marshall, don't chase the buffalo herd.

And the idea is that the masses of people who have walked away from God, who have walked away from God's word, and are doing their own thing and buying into the lies of the culture, and they're heading over the cliff,

so to speak, and they don't even know it.
