He is the president of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.

He's a classicist as well with some academic experience, but now working

in an organization whose work I've used before ACTA, as it's called. Welcome, Michael. And first,

why don't you just tell us quickly what ACTA does? Acta, that is to say the American Council

of Trustees and Alumni.

I do like the acronym because it's a Latin word for things that are accomplished.

And what we try to do is work with trustees some 23,000 around the nation and college presidents in order to further academic excellence, academic

freedom, and accountability.
