I am James McDonald and I don't mind saying that I enjoy a good nap these days.

And my father was a napper and I am a napper after him.

But the problem doesn't come with physical sleep or how you parse out your hopefully eight hours a day.

The problem is when we're asleep spiritually. The Bible says, awake, oh, slumberer from

your sleep. And, you know, they talk about the slugger, a little more folding of the hands, a little

more slumber, a little more sleep. And we can be asleep spiritually. Romans chapter 13 says it's now time to awake from sleep, high time, for now our salvation

is near when we first believed.

Biblically speaking, sleep is a picture of indolence or laziness spiritually and vitality as being wide awake. Remember that Samson fell

asleep on the knee of Delilah after his secrets were told and his strength was taken from

him. So we want to wake up spiritually. The title of this message is Revelation chapter 3 verses 1 through 6.

Wake me up Jesus and he's going to.

So get ready.
