Summary

When his family bought their bargain fixer-upper, they thought the only work ahead was cosmetic. But the house had a darker history, whispered by neighbors and hinted at by the local fire department: a mysterious blaze in the ’80s, a man trapped inside, and a black candle that survived untouched.
