Summary

400 years. That's how long the people of God waited to hear from Him before that deafening silence was broken with a baby's cry. And yet, even while the people of God waited they held on to a fundamental truth. God is working while you wait. Here's the good news, He's still doing it. He's still at work in your life, no matter how long you've been waiting for a miracle. Cling to Him today and believe.

0:16.4

Grant Partrick. So I'd like to start in an unusual place as we talk about

0:23.4

Christmas because there's a lot of great things in the Christmas story and we

0:28.1

talk about the manger and we talk about Mary and Joseph and we talk about

0:31.8

the Magi and we talk about all these things but there's two people in the

0:34.7

0:39.2

to Luke, Matthew and Luke, kind of the two longest accounts of the birth of

0:43.2

Jesus and instead of starting where we normally start in Luke chapter two, I'd

was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the side of God

1:19.9

observing all the Lord's commands and decrees blamelessly. That's pretty

1:24.2

amazing, but they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive

1:29.6

and they were both very old. Once when Zechariah's division was on duty and he

1:35.8

was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot according to the custom

1:41.2

of the priesthood to go into the temple of the Lord and to burn incense. And when

1:47.3

the time came for the burn, when the time for the burning of incense came, all the
