Hebrew chapter 6 verses 13 through 15.

For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore

by himself, saying, surely I will bless you and multiply you.

And thus Abraham, having patiently waited obtained the

promise. Did you hear that last phrase? Abraham having patiently waited obtained the promise of God.

And part of me wants to just keep going on reading the end of Hebrew 6.

It's awesome as it talks about how it is impossible for God to lie and as a result we have a sure and

steadfast anchor for our souls because we know that what God has promised will come to pass.

Can I just say that again?

What God has promised, all that God has promised will come to pass.

So we can patiently wait with hope. We can patiently wait with confidence. with

confidence. We can patiently wait in a fallen weary world where

sin and suffering abound in our lives and our families and in the world around

this we can patiently wait because we know all of God's promises will prove true.

Just think about his promises to be with us, to lead us, to guide us, to help us in everything we need to work all things that we walk through together for our good.
