My name is Elie Sheva, and today Aiton and I are sharing the battle tactics

behind waging spiritual war with the ego. This is a week that we are given all of the energy,

all of the support to face the real enemy. And oftentimes when we ask this question, who's your, who do you

feel is your greatest enemy? People point all their fingers outside of themselves. Some people say,

well, of course, I'm my biggest enemy. Neither are true, according to Kabbalah. The teachings of

Kabbalah share that the greatest

enemy is that voice, that force within each one of us that exists for the sake of giving

us the opportunity to rise above. And because we don't know that our ego serves that purpose,

we tend to identify and lead with it rather than transcend it and overcome it.

So this week is really all about gaining the wisdom and tools to win those battles.

But more importantly, connecting this week to the buildup toward the new year, the new energy, the new script that

we'd like to write for each one of ourselves that takes place on Rosh Hashanah, and we'll

talk about how to incorporate this week's practices into that bigger picture effort.
