Are you headed to work today? Do you have the expectation that if you do your job, if you do it faithfully, if you do it well,

that you'll get paid?

Certainly you should because the labor is worthy of his hire.

That's what the Bible says.

Well, what is true in the physical realm is equally true in the spiritual realm.

Today we continue to walk this Romans road,

and we've come in our study to Romans chapter 6 in verse number 23.

Now, when we left off last time, we left off in Romans 323,

for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

And I said to you that the first step on the Romans road, the first step to eternal life is realizing that you're a sinner and that as a sinner you cannot save yourself,

that no one and nothing can do for you what only Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the world,

can do.

And so we come now to Romans 623 because this is the verse that really encapsulates the two different paths.

So the Bible says, for the wages of sin is death.

But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

There's a lot of contrast.
