Jonathan Kay how you doing? Quillette tell me a little bit about Quillettes and

what does Quillette mean? So Quillette is essentially a made-up word which

sounds fancy and well I guess we've been around for seven years now so it's an

established word it's sort of like political I mean political I don't I guess

political was word yeah so it's based on Australia and I'm in Canada we have

one of our editors in UK one of our editors is in United States so it's a truly

Anglo-Sphere it's a small operation but it covers the Anglo-Sphere. It's a

great publication that I've found myself reading many a time I suppose it's

sort of and it's going to leave me on to my first question because I just

wanted to ask about political correctness not working for anyone it works for

no one that was your TED talk and that's also sort of Quillettes would it be

fair to say it tends to be on a I don't want to say anti-woke how do I say

anti-woke without saying anti-woke? Well we were anti-woke before woke was a

thing we were we were anti-woke Avonay Latra is the black turtle neck crowd

might say because you know Quillette was was founded let's say I guess it was

2015 and I mean people still still talk about wokeness but it wasn't like

the common everyday subject that it is now what and also I should say that

Quillette distinguishes itself it's it's not I wouldn't even say it's a

particularly conservative publication so when you think about people railing

against wokeness often you know it might be in Britain it might be like I don't

know the media market they're like the Daily Mail or in the United States

New York Post or Wall Street Journal of Fox News sort of recognizably
