Hey y'all. So the allergy bug has hit me pretty hard again. I'm not sure if you can hear it my voice or not. It usually does this time of year. It's made my voice a bit, well, I'll say suboptimal. It's been a little hard to keep up the voice at work, and not surprisingly, it's the same here with recording recording but that has given me a reason to do something i've been wanting to do for a while

re-release an old episode from time to time just to bring up some discussion of the episode and

its content from very early on the waco episodes I did were some of my favorites.

I remember recording and researching those.

The research was killer, but I had no idea I would find out the stuff that I did.

I had just watched one of many TV series about it,

and I was pretty amazed at how far removed that series was

from what actually happened there.

Anyway, I'll be re-releasing both parts, one today and one tomorrow.

Now, I did go back and listen, and while I love the content, the podcast was still in its infancy.

I didn't know a lot about recording, and I also didn't know much about structuring scripts. So I was adding in thoughts along the way and had

some of those awkward filler words, but it does show how much the show's improved in many ways.

So before listening, sorry for the less than ideal recording and writing, but I hope you enjoy going much deeper into Waco than you may have been before.

Y'all have a good one. At around noon on Monday, April 19, 1993, fires ignited in the Mount Carmel compound,

about 13 miles east of Waco, Texas, claim the lives of 76 people, including 25 children.
