149. That's crazy. We're almost 150. We are. And today I have a throwback wacky. Throwback wacky. When you go first. So I've mentioned this before,

but I wanted to talk about it. It's about the cabbage patch riots.

The what? Yeah, the cabbage patch riots. I don't know what this is. You weren't involved in those? Well, I'm going to tell you.

I saw a cabbage patch at a thrift shop the other day, but she was in rough shape, so I didn't get it. But I was like, oh.

To give you all some frame of reference, in 1983, Cabbage Patch Kids had a retail price of around $21 to $25.

But toys were not as easily available then, like they are now.

So they were often resold for $50 to $75.

And there had been toy crazes before, kind of.

But up until this point, there had been no shopping injuries where people were fighting to get their hand on a toy.

This is the first case, the first toy that kind of started that.

Because then later we had the Furby craze.

And I didn't buy this, but I remember the craze.

Tickle Me Elmo Stampedes.

Oh, yeah.

So before this, there were the cabbage patch riots. And these dolls really kind of caused a mania of sorts, and kids everywhere had to

have one of these. And it came with a cute concept. So the whole marketing spiel was that each doll had a slightly different face and personality profile.

They came with their own birth certificate and adoption form to be filled out by its new parent.

They had big painted eyes and cute little dimples.

So it was like you weren't buying them, you were adopting them.
