Hello and welcome back to Key Battles of the Vietnam War, a 10,000-foot survey of the war that defined a generation.

I'm your host James Early, as always. And as always, I'm joined by my co-host, Sean McIver.

So you probably recall in last week's episode we discussed the experiences of American combat soldiers and Marines in the Vietnam War.

We discussed, among other things, how they got involved with the war, their uniforms, their gear, their food, the structure of the units they served in,

phases of their one-year tours, what being in combat was like, and how they dealt with the stress of the experience

in the war. This week, we're going to talk about the same things, but only for Vietnam or

Vietnamese combat soldiers. Now, of course, as we have repeatedly mentioned throughout the series, there were actually
