But the NFL on June 1st, as it usually does, likes to pull the headlines back in their direction.

And with a light night in the sports calendar, they've decided to focus on the shield today.

I think it's a great day for these NFL trades, right?

The ideal day, because we don't have the Stanley Cup final until Tuesday, the NBA finals

until Wednesday, so we can talk some NFL today.

It's kind of a quiet night in sports, but that's okay.

It's dusty.

It's like the calm before the storm, right? And we got plenty of good topics. I want to talk

eventually here about most wins in the month of May, or May and June, because May was a wild

finish. We look ahead to June. I know a lot of people have bets on June. Talk about that a little

bit later, but we do have a few key baseball games tonight

as well. Yeah, we've got a couple baseball games currently in progress. One about to get going, we'll hit in about seven or eight minutes here. Tigers on top of the raise in the second. You have the Marlins won nothing over the nationals in DC in the first. Nationals closed is a minus 140 favorite in that game. And we'll give you a preview of the Royals Reds in a moment. But the story of the day is

the NFL and what went down earlier is the phone alerts went off and you start doing the double check, Matt. We were like, okay, is this really happening? Okay, things are starting to make sense. As the Los Angeles Rams acquired Miles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, they send a 2027 first rounder, Jared verse, over to Cleveland. Initially, when I looked at this trade, I was like, you know what? I was annoyed about the Ty Simpson draft pick even more. I started thinking, well, if you're going to go all in on this year, why wouldn't you have added another receiver for Matthew Stafford to throw to, but we saw a shift in the market.

The Rams go from 8 to 1 to 6 to 1 to win the Super Bowl. They're plus 640 to have the most wins. Their win total is 11 and a half. Only plus 1 10 to win the West, which actually feels okay to me. Your thoughts when you saw the deal went down today, Matt? Well, it's not going to be easy to win the West. and that's not the type of bet I want to make right now.

Look, at football, you're always one or two injuries away from a futures bet getting wrecked, right? How about the Bengals? How many people invested in Joe Burrough and the Bengals last year? So my take on this trade is going to be a little bit different than a lot of people.

I think the Browns got a great deal. I love what the Browns got in this trade. I think that's the smart way to look at it from their perspective. Let's talk windows, windows of opportunity. The Rams are all in. This is potentially the end of this window. They got what, what, one, maybe two years with Stafford? Two years. And then for Cleveland, when are they going to win?
