When you are the greatest modern day player that the sport has ever seen, and you decide to

take another sabbatical from the sport, it makes news and it's big news.

And Tiger Woods did announce last night that he's going to be stepping away from golf.

That means all of it, right?

Forget about the Masters, obviously. We're kind of getting excited for that about a month ago. Well, that's now in the rearview. Put out this statement if you're watching here in Fando's Sports Network. I know and I understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I'm stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work towards lasting recovery.

And he went on to say give his family time as he's going to step away from the game and sign it.

Simply Tiger.

So we're all rooting for him, the individual.

The sport, though, Jensen, it does take a step back because he was an integral part of the future of the PGA tour.

They made a lot of talk about that, his input here.

Tiger stepping away, we first and foremost want the man to be better.

But Jensen, for the game, the game will be okay, but it does take a hit without Tiger.

Different, right? Because a lot of people were getting excited that he was on the way back,

potential to see him in Augusta and, you know, would he be able to make a cut,

at least to play the weekend? You know, that would have been as big a boon to the club there
