This week we learned about states engaging in practices that would limit voting in the upcoming midterm elections.

Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, a candidate for governor, removed 53,000 registered voters from the rolls who were predominantly African-American.

In North Dakota, their state Supreme Court recently allowed a new rule to take effect that would deny

the vote to anyone without an ID that shows a street address. Many Native Americans in that state do not have a street address.

As the midterm elections approach, what can be done to protect the right to vote in those states and the rest of the nation
