I'm very excited today because we have an episode to look into that is so much about a family learning

how to work together. And we're about to dive into it. First, I'm Barry Williams. And I'm

Christopher Knight. And we are the real Brady Bros. I think we nailed at that time.

All right.

So why don't you get us started with Vote for Brady, other writers and directors and all that factual stuff?

Vote for Brady in season one.

It was our 11th episode of Season 1.

It was the 11th episode to air in total.

First aired December 12th, 1969. It was directed by David Alexander,

written by Elroy Schwartz. Now there is a family relation. And what's interesting, if you

note the credits, Elroy, the writer, gets credit at the top of the show before David Alexander.

Interesting. I wonder if that was a negotiation? I'm sure. I'm sure it was because I have

since looking at these things, recognize that not all directors get credit. Not all writers get credit.

Now, Elroy wrote a few of our shows. David Alexander, for the life of me, I cannot remember.

I'm trying to remember. Most of the directors we had did at least six, eight, 10, 15 episodes.

So we got to know them pretty well. But I don't recall in first season, so I was probably not as conscious as I might have been.

No, everything was incoming at this point, right?

We were getting comfortable with one another, the environment, you know, what our jobs were,

who we were in this environment, how it all worked.

And this is after the first six episodes, which were memorable insofar as they were all done in group, directed by the director that directed our pilot, John Rich.

And then, you know, different directors started coming in.
