Today, preparing to vote in November, a new challenge for COVID testing,

and a fresh outbreak in South Korea.

As state election officials are getting ready for November,

many people are wondering what voting will look like in the middle of a pandemic.

Part of that is figuring out how to make polling places more conducive to social distancing,

but part of that is also mail-in voting on a massive scale.

Voting by mail, it seems like you just drop a ballot in an envelope and there you go,

but it's a really complicated process. It's a whole different type of voting.

Joe Marks covers election security for the post.

And for states that aren't used to doing this, they're going to have to buy new machines to sort

and send this mail. They're going to have to have big contracts with printers who are going to produce
