Once a month, the guys at the Hawke and Cleaver head office meet up and hold a secret storytelling ritual.

They practice their lunging, trade Pokemon cards, swallow an entire digestive biscuit in one, and sacrifice the neighbor's cup of tea.

From the shinies left over, the aches in their groins and the tea stain on the neighbor's kitchen floor of theme emerges.

This month's theme... Video games.

So get ready. These aren't the stories your mother used to tell you. No,

these are the other stories.

Hello and welcome to another volume opener for the other stories. I'm your host, Daniel Wilcox,

and today we'll be saying goodbye to volume seven, time travel, which was an eclectic mix of

futuristic fun. There was some blood in there, as always, and just a lot of warping time and having a bit of fun with that and we're

putting that behind us now and we're moving on to volume eight video games now this one's pretty

exciting because obviously everyone likes a good little video game and I mean as with most of the

other themes we've got a lot of options that we can go down.

And just to let you guys, now, I've seen all these stories that are coming up over the next four weeks, and you're in for some treats.

A couple of updates from Hawken Cleaver then.

For the winners of the books from the last volume opener, where we announced the five winners of the signed copies of the second printed edition of the other stories. They have been sent out in the post and if you haven't yet received your

copy please get in touch and let us know because we obviously want to make sure that you guys

are getting what we promise you. And we know that you've heard back from some of them and

we'll catch up a little bit with some of the feedback in our correspondence later.

This month we attended our first Comic-Con.
