The Inca Empire Sometimes since the last glacial maximum, humans first colonised the Americas, including South America and the regions of the Andes Mountain Range.

These Andean cultures began to master agriculture after a long period of nomadic life and began cultivating potato

and maize among other things. This led to a more sedentary way of life which in turn

led to construction and one of the most impressive ancient constructions of South America

was the site of Chabin de Wantar.
