Chingis Khan Part 2 Oh, you know, you're going to do you.

You know. In the previous episode we spoke of Chingis Khan's life before he was

proclaimed Chingis Khan. He may have been born in the early 1160s. We do know that his name was Tammugin. While still an infant

his father was murdered and alongside his siblings and his mother

Tumugin was cast out from the tribe by those who wanted to take power for themselves

and denied Tumujin what could have been considered as

his birthright as the leader of the tribe. While surviving and growing up in relative obscurity, he would learn the skills required to be a strong young man.

He would marry the young woman called Porte that his father had organised his protoval to and would begin to start his own family.

Life was tough and Tumugian was captured by a rival tribe and was lucky to escape.

Borte was also captured by a rival tribe,

and Tumujin and his allies had to rescue her, which they did.

When Boathie returned, she gave birth to a child called Jocci,

which Tumujin brought up as his own even though there was significant doubt about

whether Josh's father was one of Bortis captors. As a young warrior, Tumuin's aim was to create a large following through conquest and diplomacy

and this would enable him to survive in a land of clans, alliances and hostilities.

He would unite the clans under one rule

and one set of rules,
