Let me ask you a question.

Do you keep a rabbit foot on your persons any one time?

No.

Do you swallow chewing gum or believe that swimming after eating is a good idea?

Well, it could be that you're asking for trouble.

Superstitious, me?

Maybe.

Maybe I'm a little stitious.

But who knows, really?

Who knows if by knocking on wood, a European superstition for warding off evil,

that we aren't actually doing that?

Who knows that by wrapping one's

knuckles on a hardwood desk, that they maybe won't slip and fall on the way to work. They

won't take the wrong side street or bump into the wrong person. Who knows? And who's to say

that the act of simply walking under a ladder rips a hole in the spacetime continuum, allows interdimension

of parasitic tapeworms through from the dark place where they might stick themselves to somebody's

life force and drain them over a period of days, reducing them to a formless desiccated pile of person flakes.

Who knows? If you ask me, you'd better be on a safe side and walk around the ladder,
