This is episode 19, megaliths, part one. Oh, So we have introduced the Neolithic and Calcolithic periods of the Stone Age over the last three

podcasts. One phrase that I have avoided using is Mesolithic. I did use the

phrase epipaleolithic to describe the Nethufian culture who are heavily referenced in terms of the

beginnings of the Neolithic Revolution. Allow me to clear this up in simple terms.

The podcast series initially concentrated on the Australopithecines, who we most likely attribute to the earliest known stone-tool culture,

This is the emergence of the Stone Age, which is also called the Paleolithic.

The Paleolithic is separated into three periods, which are the upper, the middle, and the lower.

thought to have been among the first societies who practiced agriculture. We distinguish this by referring to them as
