month's club adventure, Express Salvation. One voice is behind the microphone. Dawson Griffin took over

the role of Wyatt Perkins starting with this episode. And the other voice belongs to showrunner

Marshall Younger, who wrote and directed this show. We're talking with these two about this

adventure that navigates big questions about faith, family,

and what it means to trust God.

What inspired the creation of the Perkins family,

and why was it important to have a military family an Odyssey?

Okay, so it wasn't really my idea. I wrote a show called The Sandwich Initiative, which was a Parker family show. It wasn't even a Perkins show.

So they didn't exist, except for Wyatt. So I added this neighbor kid,

and his name was Wyatt. In the story, the parkers were challenged by their father to take
