So one of the first things I wanted to ask you is, this isn't like being an athlete.

See, Jalen had his time in the league, 13 years, had a great career, but he can't play

in the NBA anymore.

But when you're a producer, such as yourself, you can be at the top of your game for decades.

You know what I mean?

Like you've been doing it for decade after decade after decade.

How has your approach evolved over time?

That's a good point.

I was 20 years old, so to be able to experience what it was like in my 20s, and we were the

top artists back then, Gangstar, Tropical Quest, Brand Newbian, as a newer artist, and

P. Rock, Sills, Smove, and Showbiz, and A.G.

Just all of that.

We were the new crew of people that were all consistent with making albums.

And because of that, the passion for music should never, ever leave you because they don't

have an age limit.
