Yo, hey everyone. This week, my message to you is that the small things matter.

0:09.3

The small things matter. They really do matter. They really do count. And that is something that I have

0:14.5

been telling myself all week. This morning, I shared a post on Instagram and I wrote the one second

0:19.9

rule. And I was talking about how

0:21.8

when we make a decision, often, like it takes one second to make a decision, a yes or a no, or to

0:27.2

take an action impulsively. And often when we make a decision in that one second, we just choose

0:34.3

the thing with the least resistance, the most desirable outcome in that moment

0:38.5

whereas if we were to think about how we were going to feel about that decision in 24 hours

0:43.6

time we might choose differently so when I'm talking about you know the small things matter

0:48.3

it's like a perfect example is like waking up in the morning I had a few messages about this

0:53.0

you know I've listened to the power

0:54.5

hour I understand my concept I get it but I just I'm just not you know I can't get up and I snooze my

1:00.3

alarm a couple of times and does it matter and this thing of the small things matter is that's a

1:04.9

perfect example so if you set your alarm for 545 and you hit snooze twice, does it matter? That's the point. Often

1:13.0

people go, well, it doesn't matter. It's just snooze. That's what it's there for. It's not the end of the

1:16.0

world. It's not a big deal. You hit snooze. It's only 10 minutes. It doesn't matter. But the reason

1:21.5

that I'm saying the small things matter so, so much is because it's cumulative. So it's the action and what that action represents

1:29.0

and saying, you know, I don't want to be accountable to what I said I was going to do or I don't

1:35.0

have the energy to do the thing I said I was going to do right now or, you know, even just the fact

1:40.0

that actually that 10 minutes, you know, 10 minutes, 10 minutes, that 20 minutes later on, say, for example, fast forward an hour and a half, you're on your way to work,

1:48.3

you might be driving, you might be stuck in traffic, I don't know, a couple of people

1:51.8

cut in the line and suddenly you're like honking the horn, like mad, like, oh, I'm going to be late,
