Summary

As 2025 comes to a close, our editors had the difficult task of selecting their picks for the best moments of the year in culture. We invited Taylor Antrim, Deputy Editor at Vogue, and Marley Marius, Features Editor at Vogue, to run through the year’s best film, television, music, theater, books and plenty of miscellaneous pop culture gems. We also tapped the rest of our Vogue editorial team to share their top culture moments of the year. Big favorites include Sentimental Value (starring The Run-Through alum Renata Reinsve), Marty Supreme, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Rosalia’s new album Lux, and so much more!

Plus, we get into all the news of the week, including Dario Vitale’s exit from Versace less than a year after he was hired in March 2025, and just two days after Prada Group’s acquisition of the brand for $1.25 billion. Also top of mind are Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel Metiers d’art show right here in New York City, the Gotham Awards, and the British Fashion Awards.

a deputy editor at Vogue. Hello. I wasn't done yet. And Marley Marius, features editor at Vogue, here in the studio with me. Hi, guys. Hi. Hi. It's that time of year where we do our year-end lists. And today on the pod, we love a list. We are sharing our picks for our favorite culture moments of 2025. The year is so long. Thinking about this, it's crazy that Pope Leo was this year. That's where you start? That sounds like the distant past here? That's funny. Yeah, no, that's true. No, I agree. And also, like, the Louvre highest, already, that feels old. Okay, well, that was very recent. That was recent, Marley. I know, yeah, it's October. It's December already. Things are flying. You're flying. Yes. But before we get into that, this has been a big week. A lot of events happening. A lot of moving and shaking. A week like this is why the year feels so long, because it's packed.

So true. Tell everyone where you were yesterday. I was in Paris for the last three days, which Taylor's extremely bitter about, even though I was there for work. I just thought you could have gotten back more quickly. It felt long because we felt her absence, that's why. Thank you, we're going to turn this into a sweet. Right. for the round.

But if I got in at 4 p.m., Taylor felt that it should have been a direct-to-office commute. I mean, Anna flew in from London, went to the Chanel show, which we're going to talk about, and then got to the office for meetings at 430. I recall you being like, why did she do that? Yes, yes.

2:06.1

I'm spending it more positively for our listenership because we were all like, my goodness,

2:06.9

that's quite a lot. A long day.

2:07.5

A long day.

2:08.1

Yeah, for all of us.

2:11.4

Well, I went to Paris with some members of our commercial team for some important meetings.

2:19.4

And it was, honestly, any Europeans today around the holidays is just a delight.

We love a crisp chill with a shimmering white holiday light.

Marley's face right now.

2:32.4

Oh, my gosh.

So the Paris report is positive. I had a souffle. I had creps. And you're responding to like every text message in French where I thought was funny. Thank you so much. Thank you. Yeah, you've got the French keyboard loaded alongside. Oh, yeah, it does. Yeah, totally. So cool.
