Today is Matthew chapter 14, verses 27 to 33.

God give you his peace, and no many Patri, Sifili, Spiriti, amen.

God, our Lord, we ask the grace that all of our intentions, actions, and operations

be directed purely to the service and praise of your divine

majesty. And no many patrice, affiliate, spiritu, santi. Amen. But immediately, Jesus spoke to them saying,

Take heart, it is I. Do not be afraid. And Peter answered him, Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the

water. He said, come.

So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the

wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me. Jesus immediately reached out

his hand and took hold of him, saying to him,

Oh, you have little faith. Why did you doubt? And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

And those in the boat worshipped him, saying, truly, you are the son of God. Thus are the words of the

Holy Gospel. Okay, so before we get to walking on water, which I'm really excited to talk about today,

before we get to walking on water, I want to go over briefly the last section of the boat

getting hit so hard on that Sea of Galilee.

Back to the beginning of Chapter 14 for just a minute.

Remember, after the death of John the Baptist, Jesus goes from the western shore in a boat

across the southern border of the Sea of Galilee to retreat, but then he's met by 5,000 people

who walked all the way around that southern tip that afternoon. So that very afternoon,
