When it is evening, you say, it will be fair weather, for the sky is red. And in the morning,

it will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening. You know how to interpret the

appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign,

but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah. So he left them and departed. Thus are the

words of the Holy Gospel. Now here's a possible objection to my series. I've never had any

traditional Catholic say this, but maybe

someone could ask, is it safe to focus our prayer so much on the humanity of Jesus in our

meditation prayer? Shouldn't we focus on the saints? Shouldn't we focus on maybe more mystical

things, private revelation? Could all of this focusing on the humanity of Jesus in the Gospels?

Could this lead us away from the Catholic Church?

I don't think traditional Catholics would ask that.

But St. Teresa of Abilah gave this answer to her nun.

She said, quote,

It is by this door, Jesus, that we must enter.

Let us seek no other way.
