Evgenia is a Russian human rights activist and wife of political prisoner Vladimir Kara-Murza, a Russian and British political activist who has been imprisoned since April 2022 for protesting the war on Ukraine. In April 2023, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. We spoke to Evgenia about her husband’s campaigning, his arrest, detention, and the brutal realities of Vladimir Putin’s regime.
