Hello, welcome to Uncharted. My name's Oli Dugmore, and our guest today is a footballer.

Her career began in Holland, aged just 14. She was too young to sign the contract herself.

Since then, she's become the all-time leading scorer in the Women's Super League, scored

more goals for the Netherlands than any other player, man or woman, won the Euros, played

in the World Cup Final, and signed a quarter of a million pound contract extension with

Arsenal earlier this year, although that is according to the Daily Mail, so who knows.

Just by all the success, she came close to retirement at the age of 18. She said, I don't

really like being the centre of attention, and sometimes I struggle with depression. Ian

Wright says, she's the best number nine in the world, and she's the best number ten in

the world. There's not many players that can do that. My guest today is with me Demal,

What have you been up to?

Three hip mostly, obviously as many know, I've done my ACL in December. I'm six months

in right now, starting to be on the pitch again, but as you've seen as well, I'm still

a bit stiff, so yeah, a couple more months to go.

I saw a video of you running for the first time with the new ACL?

Yeah, yeah, last week. I've never felt an elephant and a snail at the same time. Although

everyone else was saying it looked really, really good for the first time, just getting used

to it again.
