It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible, chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last searchlight program, we began talking about vision.

When God wants to give us direction and start us moving in a new way, he often gives us a vision. And in our story in Acts chapter 10, we get a

practical picture of how this works. This is the story of Peter going up to the roof of a house to pray.

And while he was there, God gave him a vision that would change the direction of his ministry.

Let's now join Pastor John for our teaching and learn about getting fresh vision from the Lord.

God desires to give you a vision for your life, your ministry, your family. How does

that happen? Three things to note here. Three things to note how God gives a man a vision,

like he gave Peter a vision concerning the Gentiles. Notice first of all, preparation for vision. Verse nine,

on the morrow as they went on their journey and drew nine to the city, Peter went up on the

house top to pray about the sixth hour. He went up onto the roof of the house. Houses in those days were flat on top.

In those crowded cities, people would use the top of their houses for private place to get away.

There would often be a stairwell that would actually go up the side of the house on the outside.
