Summary
#349: In this month's solo episode, I'm kicking off our visibility series with a reframe I've been sitting with for a while — and one that's genuinely changed how I think about what it means to be seen as an ambitious woman.
We've been told that visibility is the goal. Get in the room. Be everywhere. Make sure the right people see you. And I used to believe that. But after watching what happens to women who reach the top and just keep pushing more of the same, I started to think we've been chasing the wrong thing.
In this episode I'm breaking down the difference between being visible and truly being seen, why they aren't the same thing, and introducing a framework that ambitious woman needs before she hits her biggest milestone. Because every peak has a ceiling, and if you don't have a plan for what comes after, the other side can be a really steep fall.
What we're getting into:
- The real difference between visibility and being seen — and why it changes everything
- The post-peak pivot framework and why you need one before you reach the top
- Why building in public has real limits — and what oversharing can cost you
- How to stop giving your power away to gatekeepers and reclaim ownership of how you show up
This episode is for you if…
- You've been measuring your success by how many people are watching instead of whether the right people actually see you.
- You're chasing visibility but something about it feels hollow or exhausting.
- You've hit a milestone and aren't sure what the smart next move looks like.
- You want to stop building for the applause and start building for the long game.
- You're ready to make one strategic decision about how you show up — one that protects your power and moves you toward what's actually next.

| 0:11.8 | Welcome back to She's So Lucky. |
| 0:13.5 | Thank you so much for joining me for this month's solo episode. |
| 0:17.0 | So we're at the halfway point of the year, which I can hardly believe. And so far this year, |
| 0:22.5 | we've had running themes every month on the show. So we had themes like how to get what you want |
| 0:28.9 | in the business of you and lucky girls invest and how to bet on yourself. And we have one more |
| 0:34.2 | theme coming for you this year. And that is this month. I am going to be |
| 0:38.1 | discontinuing the themes after this month because it was actually becoming really difficult to |
| 0:44.2 | keep the show going with having such strict themes. It was making it really tricky to book guests. |
| 0:51.3 | And if we had any last minute changes or cancellations, finding someone who could fit |
| 0:55.1 | the theme was just really challenging. So as much as I loved the themes, and we're going to continue |
| 0:59.5 | the theme this month, after this, second half of the year, it's going to be vibes. So I knew with it |
| 1:05.2 | being our last theme, it had to be a really good one. And so when I was thinking about what I wanted this month's |
| 1:12.3 | theme to be, the word that kept sticking out to me was visibility, because visibility has been |
| 1:19.3 | a pretty hot topic this year, particularly amongst successful, ambitious women, which, |
| 1:26.4 | if you're watching this show or listening to this show, |
| 1:29.0 | that's likely the type of content that you're consuming because that's what we talk about here. |
| 1:33.3 | But when I say visibility, I don't necessarily mean that I'm going to sit here and tell you |
| 1:38.6 | that you need to be more visible or that visibility is the key to being luckier and getting what you want. Over the past |
| 1:47.0 | month or two, as I've seen conversations around visibility unfold, I've actually started changing |
| 1:52.9 | my mind about visibility a lot. There was a time where I would have thought the more visible, |
| 1:57.5 | the better. I thought that for myself. I thought that for other people. Like in order to get where we want, we need to be as visible as possible at all times. That's the only way to get ahead. That's the only way to grow. That's the only way to move forward. And I've had a bit of a change in perspective. I think from some instances where I have gotten more visibility, but I realized it hasn't been good visibility or the right |
