America is standing on the edge of a new populism and in fact that's the title of my op-ed today

over at HartmanReport.com. That populism was the big winner. Terry McCollough

was, you know, a former governor of Virginia. He ran on basically saying, hey, I used to be the

governor here. I did nice things. He was Bill Clinton's best buddy. He was the head of the Democratic

National Committee, the DNC. And he was not a populist. He did not run as a populist. He never

has been a populist. He was always essentially a neoliberal Democrat. And I'm telling you,

the neoliberal Democrats are dying out. And America is embracing populism. And the big question

right now, I guarantee you, you know, Trump was populist. And what you saw with Trump was,

you know, basically pure populism. Some of it, I mean, you know, in many ways, Trump ran as a

progressive populist. He said he was going to raise taxes on rich people. He was going to bring

our jobs back home. All this kind of, you know, the stuff, these were hot button issues. These

actually helped get him elected, even though he was lying through his teeth.

And, and, you know, you saw the same thing with Glenn Yumkin. I'm going to, I'm going to do

what the people want. We're going to respond to the grassroots. It's all, you know, all politics
