For Inside Carolina, this is Taylor Vipolis, and today I'll be breaking down my thoughts on Carolina's upset loss to Appalachian State, and we've also got an

and before we get into that, I'm just going to put my thoughts out there first. I'm not surprised at all by

U&C losing to Appalachian State. I think if these

could get. This game, to me, it was always going to be a toss-up. Appstate has done such a great job developing

their recruits and at the same time, UNC has really struggled developing their recruits.

App State has closed any talent gap between the two teams. And for anyone who thought UNC would dominate their neighbors from Boone,

they either haven't realized how far this UNC team has fallen off or they underestimated

how well this App State team has been built up under coach Satterfield. You can't say, well, if you take out

one or two plays that went against Carolina, that they would have won the game, because then
