Welcome to Breakpoint this week from the Colson Center for Christian

worldview. I'm Maria Bear alongside John Stone Street president of the

Colson Center. John I want to start the program today by talking about what's going on in regards to abortion and abortion law in the US.

Obviously we have a presidential election coming up that's going to have wide implications for this, but a few things have happened in recent days that I wanted to bring to you.

The first is that there were at least two people that we know of through ADF that were arrested in the United Kingdom

within the last year because they admitted to

praying silently outside of an abortion clinic.

So the UK has these buffer zone laws that you're not allowed to stand within 150 meters of an abortion

business and attempt to influence a person walking in.

And there have been now a handful of these videos that have surfaced online of

clearly uncomfortable police officers approaching people just standing out there by yourself,

including one woman, Isabel Vauhen spruce and saying I'm

sorry are you praying inside your head and just this past week she was granted a

13,000 euro payout after filing a lawsuit with ADF for unjust treatment.

There's another man who was arrested for the same thing who's awaiting trial.

And then of course we know here in the states there were seven people in Michigan, I'm sorry, eight people that were convicted this week for violations of the Face Act because they sought to bar entry to an abortion clinic.
