I am Lauren toms. And we thank you as always for listening to the podcast. I'm excited

about this episode for a couple of reasons. One, my guest is amazing. And the conversation

that we had about covering basketball and talking about Stevie Wonder was phenomenal,

like just the conversation was great. But this is the first episode that I'm doing from

the new studio. So I am looking forward to hearing it. It's so I just had a flashback

like listening to Marin. Mark Marin's podcast is one of the reasons why I do House of L to

begin with. And he would talk about how he had moved from house to house. And he was trying

to get the sound right. So this is the first voyage. The place that I have now like there's

a dedicated space for this, whether it's the radio show or podcasting. One of the things

I figured out during the pandemic is that the next place that I was in, I was going to

make sure that there was a dedicated space that was separated from like the living area.

If that makes any sense. So this is the first episode inside the new studio. I just had

the carpet put down like, it's so makeshift right now. Like I'm literally my desk hasn't

come yet. So I have one of those extindo things that you put on top of the desk that

is the is acting as my desk right now. It's acting as, but that's okay though, right?

Like this is an audio medium and you can't see me, John Cena. So it's all good. But it's

cool. I really like this. It's a small space. But I think that once things get a little

bit more normal, I'm really looking forward to actually inviting people here to the literal

house of L. If they feel comfortable, if they they feel comfortable, what's cool about

it though is it's it's hard to describe, but it's separate from the living area, meaning

that someone who is a guest on house of L isn't walking around in my living space. Like
