So as I'm watching this new show on Netflix, a songline came to mind for me,

keep your heart in your chest and your head in the stars.

I think it's a line that applies to every episode of the Vince Staples show.

Its creator and its star is sitting right across to me, Vince Staples, first of all,

thank you so much for being here.

But that line, because there's so much in the show about wanting more, but being stuck

on earth and just having to just sort of steady your gaze and steady yourself.

That's what the show is about for me.

For one, I appreciate the time, and thank you for speaking to me.

Yeah, I think the show has a lot to do with perception, you know, blind optimism,

you know, trauma, the things that we see and the things that we don't see,

just social norms, social anxiety, and just kind of how all those things are in the back burner

of our human existence,

whether we're cognizant of it or not.

You know, most people coming from the background in which this show takes place are not

cognizant of it.

And I think that's what kind of builds some of the humor because we're experiencing

these things that we don't know that we're reacting to,
