Without changing your breath,

focus on the air coming into your body and leaving.

What is happening while you breathe? You can say quietly to yourself, I am breathing in. I'm breathing out. And use this to stay present. If any thoughts do creep in, just acknowledge them and let them slide away, maintaining your focus on your breath and remaining still and relaxed.

The ladies all awaited Dr. Johns return that evening, and when he arrived, he came also with Monsieur de Béz-en-Pierre.

Paulina was all over her father who was covered in snow from the ride.

Graham suggested they have a drink and a toast,

which was immediately arranged.

Some playful, almost flirting ensued,

with the young lady requesting a taste of the Wausau ale that had been poured.

Dr. John. sail ale that had been poured.

Dr John had tipped the cup to her lips,

just enough for a few drops, but no more.

Polly. drops, but no more. Polly spent the rest of the evening entirely at her father's side, engrossed in his conversations

with Mrs Breton.

Dr John watched her from time to time.
