I'm Josh Duboff, Vanity Fair's senior writer.

A few months ago, Julie and I had the chance to talk to Jody Comer, the incredible star of Killing Eve.

0:25.5

She plays Villanelle.

0:27.3

The season had just started when we talked to her, so we thought now would be a good time to share that interview again.

0:33.6

Since hopefully at this point, we've all had the chance to finish the season.

0:37.2

And if you haven't, this long weekend is the perfect chance to enjoy. So we're so excited to have Jody Comer on today from Killing Eve. We're both huge fans, Julie and I of the show and of your performance on the show, Season 2. I've seen the first two episodes. I think, Julie, you've seen the first one from season two. Yes. Did you like them? Oh my god. I was like so upset that I can't continue to now go on to episode three. I feel like this show is so I mean it's like just season one was the same way obviously where just it ends and you're like immediately needing to know. I feel like they each end on such a cliffhanger moment kind of you know they're very clever in the way that they they plan that out but

1:15.0

that's good that's a good sign have you seen all the episodes of season two or how when do you

1:19.1

do you watch yourself i know actresses and have different feelings about this i do yeah i do um purely

1:25.3

because i do think it is helpful sometimes to,

1:28.3

because I think you can pick up habits that are more Jody habits than character habits.

1:34.8

So it's good to just see it.

1:36.6

And also look at everyone else's work.

1:38.5

You know, when you're doing your own scenes, you don't get to see.

1:40.8

What's going on in the show and the rest of the cast they're doing.

1:43.5

Yeah.

1:43.5

Yeah.

1:43.7

So I do for that

1:45.6

reason but i i would watch it on my own you know through through my fingers i've seen the first

1:52.0

four episodes so far yeah first four oh wow so you still have a little a few episodes to see you as well

1:58.9

and like i email them every day like hello do we have five and six yet? But yeah, they're still still. Are your family and friends just constantly trying to get like information from you about like what's going to be happening or what like stuff your character is going to get up to? Are people on you or are people good about waiting to see it themselves? Yeah, no, they're good at waiting. It's kind of the opposite.

2:17.9

They're like, don't tell me.
