Before we go down what's inevitably going to be a very dark road for the Minnesota of Vikings,

let's start by giving all the credit, all the credit in the world to the Rams for showing up the way they did last night,

for showing up and showing out.

Everything considered that was as impressive a top-to-bottom performance is that I've seen in a long, long time.

Not just from them, but from anybody.

The Rams were reppping their city.

They were reppping their region. They were displaced from their home field. And they had to essentially play a road game, even though they had earned a home game. And then it was so much

more than that, right? So much more than football. They were dealing

with a lot of things that everybody in this area has been dealing with. How could they have been

prepared for that game? I mean, given all the trauma, all the tragedy surrounding this area,

trauma and tragedy that I'm sure affected them directly.

Yes, they are pro athletes.

Yes, their focus and their preparation are elite.

But there's still people.

They're still husbands.

They're still fathers.

They're still family members.

They're still homeowners.

They're still community members. They were still homeowners, they're still community members.

They were still going through much of what so many others were experiencing here as well.

And yes, while they did have a job to do, the job was secondary, right?
