And the NFL Combine is officially in the books.

So we've got a lot to talk about, including a lot of players that are in Vikings' positions

of need that stood out,

and some that were actually surprisingly disappointing.

We'll get into the whole list that I've made of the guys that you're going to need to know,

I think, coming out of this NFL combine.

And then, of course, we've got rumors.

And we're basically on a countdown clock now.

We are looking at maybe 36 hours or so before we find out whether Sam Darnold is going to be franchise tagged or not.

And this is a week where every NFL insider and their friends are all in Indianapolis, myself, I was there

earlier in the week, the other Vikings reporters, and we all have a goal. And that goal was to figure

out what is going on with the Vikings at quarterback. So my conclusion from my reporting on the week

was that the chances that Sam

Darnold remains in Minnesota Viking are very, very low because J.J. McCarthy's status

in his recovery is good. And Kevin O'Connell going out of his way to tell us multiple times

how much J.J. McCarthy is going to be ready to go

and how his recovery is coming along certainly makes you think that there would be no reason

to have anybody else except for possibly a Daniel Jones, but he's being connected to a bunch

of teams now as well. So we'll see what they decide to do at that position. And that was my
