Hey, everybody, welcome into Purple Insiders free agency special here, presented by Fandul.

Matthew Collar here, just getting rolling on part one of our free agency coverage today.

Later on tonight, we'll have a reaction also for all the things

that have gone down in the National Football League. In a little bit, Dame Mizatani, the Pioneer

Press is going to join me as well. But I've got a rundown of everything that's happened so far,

thoughts, reactions to that. And then we can get your takes on it in the comment section.

And also, I've set it up now so I can just look at Twitter and talk about the moves that

are dropping in one after the other.

So I've got a lot of them to get to right now and then we'll see what else percolates.

But there hasn't been any major, major news for the Minnesota Vikings.

But some very interesting stuff has happened.

We will start out with the Vikings lost their punter.

This is one, I have to tell you the truth, that I did not see coming.

I thought that they would just resign Ryan Wright and they would go forward with one of the five best punters in the NFL last year and a guy that they really effectively stuck with and developed over the last couple of seasons.

And then a shocking report from Adam Schefter that Ryan Wright has signed a four-year, $14 million contract with

the New Orleans Saints. Now, good for Ryan Wright. I mean, he is a guy that came in with a lot

of raw talent and got better and better and better. And then this last year, it all came together

and truly was one of the best punters in the NFL

and a really good job in terms of development by Matt Daniels to stick with Ryan Wright.

And, you know, they never really brought in punting competition.

And we kind of questioned them year after year.

Like, why aren't you bringing in somebody else?
