Hey everybody, welcome to another episode of Purple O'Cider, Matthew Collar, here to discuss your 7-2 Minnesota Vikings.

I'd start there, just as a reminder that the team did win yesterday against the Jacksonville

Jaguars and are now 7-2 as they get set to face the Tennessee Titans this week.

And then next week after that, the Chicago Bears,

two games that appear very winnable for this team.

So there's a lot to discuss tonight.

And until then, questions, comments, thoughts from yesterday's game, you've had at least 24 hours

to take a deep breath and maybe cool down a little bit after being very frustrated yesterday.

And I thought it was a fascinating response from Vikings fans to what happened in this game against the Jaguars.

Because I think when you pull back and you look at the bigger metrics on this team,

and this is how I'm always going to do it.

So when in 2022, a lot of the metrics were pointing toward this team's not really for real they're kind of just

winning at the end of every game they have the expected win loss for example on pro football

reference that based on your point differential what should your win loss record be uh the vikings

right now is six and three they're're actually seven and two. But in

2022, they won 13 games and the expected wins were like nine. So it sort of told the story

there, right, that the accumulation of the games, the defense in 2022, all those things

that pointed to your team is kind of getting away with it on a

week to week basis.

And eventually it's going to catch up to them.
